The host asked me what advice I can offer other people who are interested in starting their own businesses; here are some highlights in case you don’t have time to listen to the interview:
- Ask for help! The more you can delegate, the better; there’s a reason that so many successful people recommend this strategy, because it helps you focus on the areas of your business that you’re truly passionate about.
- Remember my golden rules of social media: focus on one platform at a time and master it before you move on to another one. I recommend starting with LinkedIn and Facebook before moving on to Google Plus, Twitter and Pinterest. It’s all about quality over quantity!
- Surround yourself with supportive people – friends, family, networking groups, whoever will lift you up and help you get where you need to be.
